With an icy blast forecast this weekend, we’ve stocked up with all your cold weather essentials, with everything from shovels and sledges to coal and kindling!
It’s the 2nd January, a warning for heavy snow, ice and freezing rain has just been updated by the met office…and we’re snow ready at Hildreth’s!
According to you our friends at Chiltern Weather Alerts, this weekend we can expect an area of heavy sleet and snow to move in across much of the country with an expected 5/10cm of snow, especially on the hills, before milder air and rain moves in behind before colder air returning again on Sunday.
Snow here is set to start around 6pm Saturday with any laying snow gone by the morning (as it stands) because temperatures will rise by dawn. But more snow may be on the way next week too, so make sure you stock up on all your cold weather essentials!
As well as our regular supplies of coal, logs and kindling, we’ve just taken delivery of some some snow shovels and, most importantly for snow fans….SLEDGES!
