The PM, Keir Starmer, may have bowed to demands for a vote on stripping the winter fuel allowance, but it’s not looking like the government will do a U-turn anytime soon.
One knock on effect of the government stripping the winter fuel allowance will almost certainly be an increased demand for winter fuels. And an increased demand usually always means an increase in cost – for us and for our loyal customers.
It’s a Hildreth’s tradition that we really do everything we can to keep our price tags competitive as possible – and rest assured we’ll keep on doing that as winter kicks in. Meantime, we’ve done a deal with our suppliers which means we’re able to keep our winter fuel prices fixed from now until the beginning of October.
Now could be a good time to stock up if you are getting prepped for winter.
